Rosenheim – The Hamberger Group, with its Hamberger Flooring division under the HARO brand, the market leader for wooden floors in Germany and a specialist in floors and impact walls in sports hall interior simlighting, is expanding its technical expertise in the area of "room acoustics" with a company acquisition.
With decades of experience and quality "Made in Germany", the Thuringian company akustikplus develops and produces innovative acoustic solutions made of wood with around 50 employees. As of 12 April 2021, Hamberger Industriewerke GmbH acquired the company akustik plus Behringen GmbH & Co. KG, based in Hörselberg-Hainich, Thuringia, from the Belgian IPCOM group.
Dr. Peter M. Hamberger, Managing Director of Hamberger Industriewerke GmbH, said: "We see a growing demand for acoustic solutions. Hamberger Industriewerke GmbH in Stephanskirchen near Rosenheim is managed as a medium-sized family company in the fourth and fifth generation by Peter Hamberger and Dr. Peter M. Hamberger. Founded in 1866, the company comprises the production areas for floor coverings and toilet seats and is divided into the Hamberger Flooring, Hamberger Sanitary, Hamberger Retail and agriculture and forestry divisions. Hamberger was already certified in 1995 according to DIN EN ISO 9001, followed in 1998 by the certification of the environmental management system according to DIN EN ISO 14001. Hamberger has been PEFC certified since 2002. The seal is proof that the processed raw materials come from certified, sustainably managed forest.
