The extension of the Glucksman Library der University of Limerick was designed and realized by the Irish architecture firm RKD Architects under the direction of the chief designer Denis Brereton. The architects worked out a draft concept based on the original library building, which has already been expanded several times. These different parts and influences have been combined into a coherent whole in a contemporary way.
The center is the light-flooded lecture hall of the law faculty with high ceilings and large windows. Over 120 students can study and prepare for exams in a quiet atmosphere at the same time. Our popular slimline system ensures optimal room acoustics. In the 16/3 slot, over 700 m² were built with European oak veneer. The demanding assembly work was carried out by our long-term partner BurkeJoinery / BurkeAcoustics.
